NAked with Alessandra Thomas's SUBJECT TO CHANGE

Today we're introducing you to one of our recurring columns: NAked with

NAked with is our chance to take soon-to-be-published or recently published NA books and strip them down to the bare bones. Our premier NAked post features our very good friend, NA author Alessandra Thomas. Without any further hoopla, let's get NAked with Alessa:

Thank you so much for having me! I think you're all hot, and more importantly, freaking brilliant. It's an honor to be here.

Who are you and what should we know about you in 50 words or less?
My name is Alessandra Thomas. You can call me Aless. I'm so nostalgic about my college years I have to sit around and write stories about other college girls, watch The Bachelor, and crush on campus baristos. And I'm a foxy size 14. Is that 50 words?

Which one: chocolate or bacon? Chocolate. Bacon's just not as sexy when you melt it.

What is the name of your book and what is it about in 50 words or less? SUBJECT TO CHANGE is about Joey, who made her dad a promise on his deathbed that she'd become a doctor. But pre-med is crushing her, and when the hot tattooed loser she's paired with on a Business 101 project challenges her to live more fully, she has to decide who's right.

Tell us your main character's name and 3 adjectives that describe him/her
. Joey is high-strung, a caretaker, and kinda horny. LOL.

Please share with us an excerpt of 150-200 words from your book. My pleasure!

His eyes softened with a slight smile as he reached up to remove the helmet. “Well, this makes absolutely no sense. I shouldn’t like you,” he said, his fingertips brushing under my jaw, and then down my neck. “But I kind of do.”

I’d never forget what happened next. Without warning, without any indication he was going to do it besides a hard look into my eyes, he stepped forward and kissed me, his warm lips unexpectedly soft, covering mine cautiously, and making an oasis of burning heat in the middle of the freezing rain.

I gasped the slightest bit. I should have stepped back, slapped him, and threw the helmet at his feet. That’s what Josephine would have done.

Instead, I pressed in. Not only that, I grabbed both sides of his face, raking my fingertips through his hair. Water poured over both of us, but when my lips parted and our tongues tangled together for two, five, ten seconds, neither of us gave a shit.

Thank you so much, Aless, for joining us today. We adore you and all you've done for the NA literary world. Kisses!

  3. Love the excerpt and the summary of what the book is about. I love it when two seemingly opposites attract.
